This is my daily player. It took Ron and I several months to settle on the design. The original foundation of the design was the old Brunswick 360. The butterflies are designed to be a double stack separated by the Pau rosa.
19.3 oz. OAL. 58.5" Ivory ferrules. Carom joint. The forearm is is Brazilian rosewood. The white in the butterflies is curly white holly. The red devider butterflies are Pau Rosa. The center cut points are Amboyna burl. The handle is Thya Burl. The handle diamonds are ivory as is the butt cap. The sleeve is Macassar Ebony.
The forearm is Tulip Wood. The handle is Curly Purpleheart. From my collection. Ivory ferrules. The sleeve is a stabilized burl. The rings and teeth are ivory. The joint and butt cap are ivory. The hearts are ivory and inset with amethyst birth stones.
This cue was originally made for a friend of mine in England. I supplied the Titlist and Zebra Wood handle. Subsequently the cue components went from myself to Kenny. On to England. Then after an accident with the cue back to Kenny and then into my hands.
The joint, ferrules, dashes and butt cap are ivory. The rings are linen.
Sorry about the wretched picture quality but I can't seem to get them to come out right for some reason.
This is a Miranda Cue made in 2008:
Gabon Ebony Forearm and Butt Sleeve
8 Hi-Lo Ivory Points in the forearm and then reversed in the butt sleeve. Outside Pantographed Maple veneer recut with ebony, osage orange and oak mitered veneers
Double nickel silver rings with scalloped ivory diamonds
Pigskin Black Leather Wrap
Flat faced ivory sleeved joint (3/8 10")
Ivory Buttcap and Ferrules
I have several other cues (older Scons and Joss cues mostly) but I really love the way this cue plays.
