To help you follow the events covered on-line, we are providing information about the tours that we cover. As time goes on we will include information on how each tournament is run, describe it's format, and even describe the rules of the game.

The Camel Pro billiard Series, sponsored by R.J. Reynolds tobacco company, is a tour consisting of
96 players who participage in seven double-elimintation tournaments. The tournaments feature an
8-ball, 9-ball or 10-ball format. The 10-ball format is exclusive to the Series.
Pros participating in tournaments earn points and money. First-place finishers earn 140 pints,
second-place finishers earn 120 pints, third-place finishers earn 100 pints and so on. After
the Denver Open, the last event of the tour, the player with the highest point total will be
awarded $300,000.
Amateurs can qualify to play in the Camel Pro Billiard Series by participiting in
National 9-Ball Tour and APA events.

WPBA |
The Women's Professional Billiards Association, or WPBA, was founded in 1976. It is an organization
dedicated to the advancement of women in the sport of billiards, and a goal that it achieves through
tournaments, membership and promotion. Among the members are pros and touring pros. Pros are
women who have placed in a pro-sanctioned event, and touring pros are players who attend at least 80
percent of the pro-sanctioned tournaments, and they have seeding and selection privileges. The 32 seeded
players include Jeanette Lee, Allison Fisher, Ewa Laurance, Loree Jon Jones and Vivian Villareal.
The pros participate in the eleven WPBA Classic Tour events, in which they earn points and money according
to their finish. First-third-place finsihers win 125 pints and so on.
the final event of the WPBA Classic Tour is the National Championship, which will be held in Red Wing, Minn.
this year.
