Lee caught a break and shut down Chen.
While Allison Fisher had little trouble advancing to the title match for the second time in two touraments this year, Jeanette Lee caught a few breaks from Jennifer Chen and turned them into a 9-6 victory.

Lee led 7-5 when Chen was able to run out after several safety battles. At 7-6, Chen had the break and an easy runout from the 4 out, but scratched on the 6, giving Lee and easy out and a spot on the hill.

From there, Lee broke and ran to advance. When asked about Chen's mistakes, Lee didn't really notice. "When I'm shooting I feel that I can win at any time," Lee said. "That doesn't always happen but that's how I feel."

For Chen, she collects another top 5 finish in two tournaments. Last month in San Diego, Chen lost to Fisher in the title match of the McDermott Classic.

Fisher started the match against Hofstatter 5-0 and never looked back, winning 9-5.

Hofstatter now faces Lee in the loser's bracket final. The next update will come after the 7 pm finals.
