JEREMY JONES: LAST AMERICAN STANDING

Jones' jump was worth $4,500

Texas' Jeremy Jones is the last remaining American player in the 2001 Admiral World Pool Championship in Cardiff, Wales. Jones topped Spain's David Alcaide, 11-9, to pocket a miniumum of $8,500.

The only other American player in Friday's set was Florida's Charlie Williams, who dropped a marathon set against Leonardo Andam, 11-9.

Jones will take on Chao-hsiung Lai to kick off Saturday's schedule.
