New WPBA board member Monica Webb is assured of 17th place.

World champion and defending Nationals champion Allison Fisher and Classic Tour titan Karen Corr are two of eight undefeated players going into the penultimate day at the WPBA Nationals at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Mich. Both players have dominated their early competition in the 64-player season finale.

Gerda Hofstatter made an early trip to the losers' side thanks to a first-match loss to Ming Ng, 9-3. Hofstatter then defeated Stacy Rogers and new board member Candi Rego to assure herself of 17th place, and a chunk of the $90,000 purse.

The next round (2:30, Sat.) will feature the undefeated eight: Corr vs. Ng; Vivian Villarreal vs. Laura Smith; Jeanette Lee vs.Jennifer Chen; and Ewa Laurance vs. Allison Fisher.
