FINAL FOUR FOR CORR

Corr could sweep the 2001 Classic Tour
Just one match stands between Karen Corr and a clean sweep of the 2001 Classic Tour. Corr, who has won every Classic Tour title this year, is undefeated and awaits the best of the three other remaining players who will play to decide fourth and third place and to determine who will meet Corr in the final match as the ESPN cameras roll.
The first TV match will feature Ewa Laurance and Fisher. The loser will finish in fourth while the winner will advance to take on Jeanette Lee. Fisher's only loss was to Laurance, 9-6, while Laurance's loss came at the hands of Lee, 9-5. Lee's only loss was to Corr.
Fisher comes to Mt. Pleasant, Mich., as the reigning WPA World 9-Ball champion, having defeated Corr in the finals of that tourney. Fisher also won the All-Japan tournament last week. Lee defeated Corr in the finals of the BCA 9-ball Open in Las Vegas in May to take that title, and also took the first-ever World Games gold medal in 9-ball at the World Games in Akita, Japan this past summer. (The BCA title is not considered a Classic Tour crown, although players do accrue ranking points for that contest.)
