BCA Pro 9-Ball Tourney

As the temperatures climb into triple digits under the Las Vegas sun, the heat is on the remaining 48 players -- 24 men and 24 women -- at the $160,000 BCA 9-Ball Open. Gone from the tourney are defending champions Johnny Archer and Gerda Hofstatter. Each made uncharacteristically early exits from the tournament: Archer failed to win a match, while Hofstatter finished 1 for 3 in 33rd place.

On the men's side, Kim Davenport, Frankie Hernandez, Rodolfo Luat and Jose Parica remain undefeated while Allison Fisher, Karen Corr, Melissa Little and Helena Thornfeldt are still on the right side of the brackets.
