Moore Captures Seminole Pro Title
Jul 14, 2008, 10:21 AM

Moore bested Deuel in the single-set final, 9-6.
After a recent streak of top-10 finishes without breaking through to the winner's circle, Stevie Moore has snapped off back-to-back titles on the highly-regarded Seminole Pro Tour.

At the Art of Billiard in Gainesville, Fla., 58 players gathered for July's stop on the regional professional tour. Moore, who went undefeated en route to victory at June's event, dropped a Saturday night match to Ronnie Wiseman, 8-6.

On Sunday, Moore began his charge through the one-loss side. He edged Charlie Williams, 8-6; Tommy Kennedy, 8-4; and Justin Hall, 8-3. He then topped Wiseman, 8-4, and Jonathan Pinegar, 8-3, to move into the final.

Corey Deuel, who had little trouble in the winners bracket, capped his unbeaten run with an 8-7 thriller over Pinegar in the hot-seat match.

The final, however, would be the end of the line for Deuel. Pulling out to a 6-4 lead in a see-saw race-to-9, Deuel had to watch as Moore captured the next five racks for a 9-6 win.
