IPT to Debut Open Pro-Am Format

CHICAGO — The International Pool Tour will unveil a new tournament format this fall in which 16 of the top players in the world will compete with an open field of players.

The IPT Pro-Am Tournament will take place Nov. 8-9 at Palace Billiards in Villa Park, Ill. Prior to the tournament, 16 qualifying events will take place — one for every pro in the field. The top six finishers in each qualifier will be teamed with their pro for the main event, where the total prize purse will be $50,000.

Qualification events will be held throughout the Chicagoland area beginning Sept. 13. More information and the full schedule of qualifying events is available online at www.internationalpooltour.com .

Entry fees will be $85 in person, including a $5 greens fee for the host room. A $10 discount will be available for members of the military, female players, children, anyone presenting their league membership card, or any online entrants.
