Best Storefront Retail Site
Greater Southern
www.greatersouthern.com

While this site looks more like business casual than a tuxedo kind of place, everything works without making too much noise. Storefront sites need to provide location information while compelling visitors to stop by the store. Greater Southern not only sells products in its Georgia stores, but also allows you to buy some of its products online. The store goes the extra mile with its game explanations.

The story lists some fabulous sales. We're too far away from sweet Georgia to verify if the sales are current. The Obama photo for financing is a little out of place and hurts its credibility a little.

Runner-Up Storefront Retail Site
Amini's Galleria
www.aminisgalleria.com

Amini's plays up to its "Home of the Copper Dome" nicely in picking a comforting blend of colors. Its catalog works better than the majority of sites in this category. The company describes the kind of shopping experience to expect, but it could stand to add some faces to give it a more personal touch.

Despite the unneeded use of Flash, especially in the menus, we like that it has everything expected in a storefront site. The site has a few quibbles like broken links and some poorly written or formatted content. It has a "Coming Soon" feature, but more often than not the features don't show up soon. Better to leave it off until the feature is ready for prime time.

Best Blog
Frank's Dawg House
www.franksdawghouse.com

Blogs have different requirements than Web sites of what makes a good one. The main three are content, consistency and captivating. Though the design is often plain, it still matters because it helps readers find their way around and uncover the archives without working hard.

Frank's Dawg House not only has consistent and frequent updates, but it also makes us smile while giving an account of the PoolDawg's bulldog mascot and his dive into the world of WPBA. Frank is a top dog when it comes to social media. He twitters and has over 100 Facebook fans. The "About" page is a template page, but we let it slide since you can still read about Frank and you can't help but have a good time on his blog.

OMGWTF
massiveunderstatement.blogspot.com

This blog doesn't receive as many updates as we would like. It's a joyous adventure to read the anonymous spy's content. Get a little more of the mysterious pool player by following him or her on Twitter. How can you not love a person whose Twitter bio says, "The first acronym in billiards sarcasm." With more consistent and frequent updates, the blog could become a top agent.
