Feb 27, 2008, 1:22 PM

In cooperation with the WPBA, the Billiard Congress of America has announced that five women will represent the United States at the WPA Women's World 9-Ball Championship in Taipei, Taiwan. Jeanette Lee, Kim White, Anna Kostanian, Belinda Calhoun and Liz Ford are scheduled to compete in April's world championship.

Jeanette Lee, currently ranked 12th on the WPBA Classic Tour, headlines the American contingent. One of the most recognized figures in the sport, Lee has plenty of international experience.

Kim White and Anna Kostanian are two American hopefuls who have had success on the world stage. At last year's competition, White finished in fifth place, the highest of any American.

Kostanian finished second at the WPA's Junior World Championships in 2006, and won the Junior National title in both 2005 and 2006. In just her second year on the WPBA tour, Kostanian has moved into the top 20 on the points rankings.

The WPA Women's World 9-Ball Championship will be April 1-7 in Taipei, Taiwan.
