Miller Time: Defending Derby All-Around Winner Takes $12K for Bank Ring Game

Jason Miller didn't waste any time making his presence be known at the 2007 Derby City Classic. On day one, the defending all-around champion won a six-man bank ring game, defeating Brian Groce, George Breedlove, Tony Coleman, Richie Richeson and Truman Hogue for the first prize of $12,000. Hogue finished second and pocketed $6,000.

Round one of the Derby City Classic bank pool event is complete, and a few big guns proved a bit gun shy. Players taking their first losses included Fred Bentivegna, Nick Varner, Francisco Bustamante and Scott Frost.
