"Bad Breaks": Chicago Newscast Focuses on IPT, Trudeau
Apr 24, 2007, 12:41 PM

A Chicago-based ABC-TV affiliate aired a three-and-a-half-minute news segment on Monday night about Kevin Trudeau and the troubles surround the International Pool Tour, titled “Bad Breaks.”

"He has betrayed me and a lot of pool players I know," said Indiana-based pool player Jeff Beckley, who appeared on camera in the segment, along with World Open 8-Ball Championship runner-up Rodney Morris.

The affiliate’s interest stems in part from the fact that the IPT’s offices are based in Chicago.

Trudeau declined to appear on camera, according to the piece. Instead, tour director Deno Andrews represented the IPT, saying, “I totally sympathize with [the players], and this is a horrible situation that quite frankly we are all very embarrassed about."
