Fisher will have her hands full with undefeated Xiao-Chi Lin.
WPBA powerhouses Allison Fisher, Ga Young Kim and Jeanette Lee are through to the final eight of the Amway Women’s World 9-Ball Championship in Taiwan.

In the highest-profile match of play on Saturday (Taiwan is 12 hours ahead of the U.S.), Kim of Korea knocked off the venerable home-country favorite Shin-Mei Liu of Taiwan, 7-5. Liu was undefeated in round-robin play, prior to the single-elimination knockout rounds. Kim had defeated American Anna Kostanian, 7-2, in the round-of-24 matches before meeting the seeded Liu.

Jeanette Lee is the sole American left in the contest, having handled Line Kjorsvik of Norway, 7-6, and Japan’s Akimi Kajitani, 7-3. She next will face the undefeated Yuan-Chun Lin of Taiwan.

Allison Fisher of England defeated WPBA rival Kelly Fisher, 7-3, in the round-of-24, and then Japan’s Yukiku Hamanishi, 7-4. In her quarterfinal match, Fisher will face the undefeated Xiao-Chi Lin of Taiwan.

Austria’s Jasmin Ouschan, whom many consider the next great worldbeater in women’s pool, also has reached the quarterfinals. In the round-of-16, she eliminated undefeated Rubilen Amit, the No. 1-ranked player in the Philippines, by a score of 7-4
