On Sept. 6-7, the Predator 9-Ball Tour held the Louis Pannullo Charity Event for the Michael Magro Foundation.

A full 64-player field turned out at the Cuebar in Bayside, N.Y., for the tour's first charity tournament, with WPBA stars like Allison Fisher, Jeanette Lee and Jasmin Ouschan joining the usual tour suspects of Tony Robles, Mika Immonen and George Sansouci.

On Saturday afternoon, Robles and Shaun Wilkie were collecting wins on the winners side. Eventually, they met in the hot-seat match. Tied at 8 games apiece in the race-to-9, Robles had control of the table until an errant cue ball hid left him snookered on the 6. Wilkie cleared the table for the win.

In the one-loss bracket, John Alicea had trouble with his break, coming up dry all six times. Robles cruised to a 9-3 win to get a second shot at Wilkie.

The race-to-11 final was a reversal of fortune for Robles, who benefited from a few good rolls. He took the title with an 11-7 win.

"I would like to thank every player, friend and fan that participated in this special event to help out the Magro family," Robles said after the event. "Thanks to you, we were able to raise close to $8,000 for the Michael Magro Foundation. The Magro family has a very special place in our hearts and I really appreciate them, Dr. Louis and Cuebar for giving us the opportunity to do this for them."

This was the last regular-season stop for the Predator 9-Ball Tour. The season finale is set for Oct. 11-12 at Raxx Pool Room in West Hempstead, N.Y.

In its first season, the Predator Tour held 14 tournaments. Robles, who snapped off five events and finished second four times, was named the Player of the Year.
