Jun 4, 2007, 12:39 PM

One week after the Predator World 10-Ball Championship, many of the top professionals were still knocking around Florida. In an international field of 78 players, Marlon Manalo of the Philippines prevailed from the left side to win the Spring Hill, Fla., stop on the Florida Pro Tour.

Earning his second victory of the year on tour, Manalo worked his way through the one-loss side. He posted wins over fellow countrymen Warren Kiamco, 8-3, and Dennis Orcollo, 8-3, on his way into the semifinal.

On Sunday, Stevie Moore and Tommy Kennedy were the only two unbeaten players remaining. Kennedy edged Moore by an 8-5 margin.

In the one-loss bracket, Manalo dominated Moore, racing to an easy 8-2 victory.

The final began in opposite fashion for Manalo. Kennedy won six of the first seven games in the single-set race to 9. Manalo rattled off the next four to edge within one game at 6-5. After Kennedy reached the hill at 8-5, Manalo took another four straight to win the hill-hill final, 9-8.

The next Florida Pro Tournament will be September 8-9 at Bankshot Billiards in Jacksonville, Fla.
