WPBA Announces 2008 Schedule

Just when you're cracking open those spanking new 2008 datebooks, the Women's Professional Billiard Association has released its schedule for the upcoming season.

The Classic Tour is currently set to kick off on March 12, at the Odawa Casino in Petoskey, Mich., in a yet-to-be-named event. In total, the WPBA will make eight tour stops, the same number of events held last season.

In a slight tweak, the Billiard Congress of America-sponsored event — this year named the GenerationPool.com 9-Ball Championship — will be held in Charlotte, N.C., during the BCA Trade Expo. The event, traditionally held in Las Vegas alongside the BCA Pool League's amateur national championships, will be one of two tournaments held in North Carolina.
