Top Regional Players Battle for Year-Long Ride on WPBA Tour

Catch the WPBA’s stars of tomorrow when the professional women’s tour hosts its annual Regional Tour Championships, Feb. 29-March 2 at Capone’s Billiard Lounge in Spring Hill, Fla.

The Championships will bring together the world’s best players who compete in 10 women’s regional tours, which serve as a grass-roots feeder system for the WPBA’s Classic Tour. Up-and-coming players sharpen their skills on these tours and can earn qualifiers to Classic Tour events. Recent “graduates” of the regional-tour system include Top 5-ranked pros Xiaoting Pan and Ga Young Kim.

A field of 64 will compete in the Championships, and the winner will receive paid entry to a year’s worth of Classic Tour events — plenty of opportunity to perform well and earn a regular spot on the pro tour.
