Stop on a Dime
A stop shot from a half diamond away is one thing. Stopping the cue ball dead from two-plus diamonds is another. This drill will sharpen your ability to kill the cue ball on command, from anywhere on the table.

After setting up shot on the 1 ball, as shown in the diagram, use your cue to align the other three balls with the corner pockets. It might look simple, but even the smallest error will throw you off line. [Larry Schwartz]
