Why do it: To better understand the cue ball’s path after contact.

How to do it: Set up a simple spot shot, with the cue ball opposite the second diamond and two ball spaces off the rail. Hit the cue ball above center, in the center and below center, and note how the cue ball’s path after contact differs.
