Cluster Buster
Learning how to work your way around, into and through clusters is a crucial skill that’s necessary in all pool games.

Set up an easy shot on the 1, as shown. First, send the cue ball into the 2-3 cluster and see how the balls react. Work on hitting the center and left and right sides of the 2. Can you consistently open the cluster and get a shot on the 2 ball? If so, move onto the 4-5 cluster and then the 6 and 7 balls. [Bob Jewett]
