Channel One
SINCE YOU’RE most likely focused on the object ball going in (or, if things don’t work out, near) the pocket, the cue ball’s angle after impact is often ignored. You have an idea where it goes, but this gives you immediate and exact results.

Set up a channel of balls about three balls wide. Pocket the 1, concentrating on driving the cue ball inbetween the rows of balls. Be sure to mix in draw and follow, so you can really see the cue ball react immediately after a shot. [Mark Wilson]
