Pull It Back
This old proposition shot can teach you the value of a technically sound draw stroke, especially when you’re eying a soft hit.

Place the cue ball along the center string, with the object ball a half diamond away. The goal is to draw the cue ball back to the head cushion without the object ball hitting the same cushion. If you get the hang of it, move the object ball farther away from the cue ball. Oh, and no masse allowed!
