Why do it: Whether needing to bank a ball or playing one-pocket, you should know how and when to cross a ball.

How to do it: There is always the danger of a kiss when crossing balls. To avoid that pitfall, draw a line from the cue ball to the pocket (dotted line). If you can shoot the cue ball past the object ball and into the pocket, there is no natural kiss involved.
