Bend It
Learning to curve the cue ball around potential blockers can increase your opportunities in a number of situations.

Set up a straight shot on the 1 ball, as shown in the diagram. Elevate your cue and hit down on the cue ball to bend it around the blocking ball. If you sink it in the corner pocket, try to curve the cue ball’s path by a full ball and then a ball and a half.
