October: Dress for the Opposite Sex
October 2008
Q. Is there any sort of clothing style that women like on male players? Most of my style revolves around jeans, tailored shirts, and my Chucks. Any tips?
Tony Schneider; Kenosha, Wis.

A. I can't speak for all women but I do think that watching a guy play pool in baggy jeans looks ridiculous. I think women are attracted to success, confidence (not conceit or arrogance), intelligence, and sense of humor, and we love it when men are good at things. I think it shows a level of discipline and commitment, which are seriously admirable qualities to women. Wear clothes that reflect this - clean, neat, polished, comfortable. Soft shirts - not crunchy, not sleeveless. Say "no" to too-tight shirts or jeans, hole-infested shirts or jeans, and too much jewelry. Dress comfortable and neat, and you'll get a classy woman who likes a man she can snuggle with. Dress like trash, and that's what you'll get. Clothes are a personal style that should reflect your personality, but try to keep it low-profile and let your personality and charm show through. Lastly, be yourself. If she doesn't like you the way you are, you will spend your whole life with her trying to change you. It's better to know from the get go.
